Writer: LLECAAALLECAAA

AMARILLO – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) seized more than 22 pounds of methamphetamine, Thursday, June 14, after a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle in Carson County.

At approximately 10:53 a.m., a DPS Trooper stopped a 2018 Nissan Rogue traveling east on I-40 near Conway, for a traffic violation. A DPS canine arrived at the scene and alerted on the vehicle. The Trooper then discovered multiple zip-locked bags of methamphetamine in the vehicle.

The driver – Roberto Palacios-Garcia, 32, of Los Angeles – was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. Palacios-Garcia was transported and booked into the Carson County jail.

The drugs allegedly were being transported from Los Angeles to New York City.
